Suna and Inan Kirac Foundation

The Pera Museum owes its existence to the Suna and Inan Kirac Foundation, established in 2003 by Suna Kirac, Inan Kirac, and Ipek Kirac. The foundation aims to leave a lasting cultural and educational legacy for the Turkish population. It supports talented students and academic institutions through scholarships and grants, helping to shape a brighter future.

In healthcare, the foundation focuses on neurodegenerative diseases and collaborates with prestigious international universities and institutions. The foundation's commitment to medical research is evident through its collaboration with Harvard University Medical School and the establishment of the Bogazici University Suna and Inan Kirac Foundation Neurodegeneration Research Laboratory.

The foundation's dedication to preserving Turkey's cultural assets led to an ambitious project in collaboration with the Getty Foundation. They successfully transferred the collection of the Millet Manuscript Library into a digital format, ensuring the conservation and accessibility of these invaluable manuscripts.
